These sets allow direct injection or piggy-backing without the use of needles. Available systems include: ULTRASITE^® capless or economical SAFELINE^® split-septum valves. ULTRASITE valves are activated directly by standard-syringe Luer or male Luer IV tubing, can be swabbed, and do not require capping. SAFELINE valves are accessed using either a SAFELINE blunt syringe-tip cannula, antistick cannula, or if necessary, a standard needle. Injection site valves (INTs) lock directly to catheters for flushing and injecting without using needles. Plastic straws and antistick connectors are available for withdrawing drugs from ampules and rubber-stopper bottles without using needles.
